Audio Identity
Make Them
Hear You.
Custom commercials, jingles, product themes, sonic marks, and ditties — written and produced for one brand. Not a stock bed. Not a $20k sonic agency. Send a brief. Hear two samples. Hire the piece you want to keep.
Listening copies
Hear The Idea.
Then Hear Yours.
Six listening copies. Evaluation samples from your brief are still private — these are the public ones.

What it costs
Two custom evaluation samples from your brief — free, and locked to private listening. Paid work is a written SOW, 50% deposit, then files and a licence. Prices in USD.
- Sting: the three-to-eight-second mark for bumpers, apps, hold buttons, and ad tails
- Spot: a 15 or 30 second commercial, jingle, or ditty, plus the other length as a cutdown
- Theme: a 30–60 second brand or product piece, a 15 second cut, and a short sting — stems when they help an editor
- Delivered as MP3 (web) and WAV (broadcast). Exclusive commercial licence for your named brand after the balance clears
- Samples are not a licence. Public or commercial use without written permission is infringement
Who this is for
Local businesses, founders, podcasters, and product teams who need audio that actually belongs to them. Radio, social, video ads, podcast opens, hold music, in-store — if people will hear it more than once, it should sound like you.
What you get
A brief that takes ten minutes. Two custom sample directions (Theme adds a third after you hire). A finished mix in the lengths you paid for. A written exclusive commercial licence — not a stock-library PDF and not a copyright fairy tale.
Why it matters
Stock beds show up in other people’s ads. A custom hook is the rare piece of marketing people repeat on purpose. You do not need a national sonic-branding retainer to get one.
How it works
You send the brief. We send two evaluation samples. You pick a direction — or walk. If you hire, we send a short SOW, take 50% to schedule, finish the package, and release the licence with the files when the balance clears.
Sample terms
Listen. Don’t Ship.
Evaluation audio (“Samples”) that Proper Pete Co., LLC sends after this brief is for private evaluation only. By requesting Samples you agree:
- Samples remain the exclusive property of Proper Pete Co., LLC. No licence is granted except a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to listen privately so you can decide whether to hire us.
- You will not copy, post, stream, broadcast, embed, synchronize, perform publicly, distribute, modify, register with a performing-rights organization, remove watermarks or voice tags, or claim authorship or ownership of any Sample.
- A licence to use finished audio exists only under a separate written agreement (statement of work), after we have received all amounts due, and only for the named brand and media stated in that agreement. Copyright in the recordings is not assigned.
- If you use a Sample in public or commercially without that written licence, that use is your offer to purchase the Theme package at then-current list price, which we may accept by invoice, without limiting injunctive relief, actual damages, or other remedies.
- Unused sample directions may be offered to other clients. A direction you hire will not be re-licensed by us to a third party for a competing use in the same named-brand category in the agreed territory.

Questions
Straight answers.
Can I use the samples in ads or on social?
No. Samples are for private evaluation only. They remain Proper Pete Co., LLC property. Public or commercial use requires a signed statement of work, paid balance, and written licence. See Sample terms.
Do I own the copyright?
You receive an exclusive commercial licence for your named brand in the media we agree in writing. Copyright is not assigned. That is the honest product at this price — and it is what most independent audio work actually is, even when the sales page says “you own it.”
Sting vs Spot vs Theme?
Sting ($295): 3–8 seconds. Spot ($595): 15 or 30 seconds plus a cutdown. Theme ($995): 30–60 seconds plus a 15 second cut and a sting. If you only need a bumper, do not buy a Theme.
How fast are samples?
Usually a few business days after a usable brief. Paid delivery is about 5 / 7 / 10 business days after deposit. Rush is +40% and depends on capacity.
What about revisions?
Sting and Spot include one revision of the selected direction — not a new concept. Theme includes two. Extra rounds are $95. Extra sample directions before you hire are $95 each.
What if I need something bigger?
National campaigns, named vocalists, multilingual versions, and full sonic systems are a custom quote. This page is productized Sting, Spot, and Theme work.
How do I start if I already know the package?
Still send the brief — the samples are how we lock the direction. You can also email info@properpete.com or use Contact.
